Kung Fu Pride

I wanted to write up something about the girls doing Kung Fu. They have done so well with it; I am so proud of their accomplishments. One of my Kung Fu sisters came back recently, and commented on how well L was doing in the adult class. She also said that she was proud to be associated with me and my "Kung Fu family," which was really nice. But what I really wanted to write about was how proud the girls are to be the leaders of the kids class. They are the highest ranks in the class that we started up about 6 months ago. One of the privileges of rank in Kung Fu is that you get to be in the head of the line during line drills, and it is so neat how proud they are to be in that position. There is no hesitation about having to be the first to perform; they are eager to be up there. And they have done a great job setting the example of how to behave and perform the moves in Kung Fu.

This is far from all I want to write about the experience, because it has been a wonderful one. But that is all I have time for right now. Perhaps some pictures when I get a chance, because during their last test, they got to spar with Shifu Li!
